It has the nations farthest in-land seaport. The city's largest employer is an American Airlines maintenance facility. While physically located in the southern U.S., it is most influenced by Southern, Southwest, and Mid-west traditions. It's large Native American populous and history is also a big influence. The city dedicates 1% of its budget to public art, installing a new sculpture by a local artist along a riverfront walk every year. There are many permanent dance and theater groups as well, including ballet and symphony orchestras. Tulsa has a WNBA team, with minor league basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer teams, as well as an arena football team. It also supports three flat-track roller derby leagues. There is a single daily newspaper to speak of, with a Sunday circulation of less than 190,000. Western Swing is a popular music genre, with the “Tulsa Sound”, a sub-genre of Rockabilly, Blues, and Rock 'n Roll became locally popular in the 60s and 70s. There are 15 universities and colleges in Tulsa, with two of them being private schools, one of these a religious college.
